I am a self-taught
artist with a lifelong interest in art. I got my degree as a Fashion Designer
back in Uruguay, my homeland.
In 1975, my husband
and I decided to move to Toronto to build a new life. I had very little time to
study and paint; but I promised myself to someday pursue my art and to meet
people with the same interests.
I decided to
dedicate my time to what I love to do best now days.
Fifteen years ago I started
again with my artistic education and with much curiosity and awe, I love developing
new techniques In each piece
I like to use a secret language with my own aesthetic signature by combining
acrylic mediums, digital transfers, paper collage.
I allow myself to try new techniques to
express my ideas in a more creative way to get immediate answers to what I want to
envision.
I think ART
is the sum of colours, shapes, and visions becoming tangible on a surface; and
like books being read by many eyes, ART speaks to us in many ways, open to
different interpretations.
